Experienced pilots, bring your skills to JerryAir.

The JerryAir Experienced Pilot Pathway is designed for virtual pilots who can demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and professional standards required to operate on the JerryAir network. Successful applicants join as Second Officer and progress to Captain after demonstrating proficiency.

This pathway recognises experience and competence. Applicants must meet a higher bar than Academy entrants and will be assessed accordingly. If you meet our standards, you will be welcomed as Second Officer and integrated into the fleet, with a clear path to Captain.

You have prior experience with a virtual airline or established virtual flying community.

You are comfortable with IFR flight planning, standard ICAO phraseology, and professional procedures.

You can operate independently without a structured training programme.

You are committed to upholding JerryAir's standards and Code of Conduct from day one.

Expected Standards

What we expect from Experienced Pilot applicants

Experienced Pilot applicants must demonstrate a higher level of competence than Academy entrants. The assessment process will verify your knowledge and ensure you meet our operational standards.

Demonstrable virtual flying experience (prior VA membership or equivalent).
Solid understanding of IFR procedures, flight planning, and ICAO terminology.
Familiarity with SimBrief, PFPX, or similar dispatch tools.
Ability to conduct professional, complete PIREP submissions.
Full adherence to JerryAir's Code of Conduct, community standards, and operational policies.
English language proficiency sufficient for communication with ATC and JerryAir staff.

Assessment stage

Complete our online assessment. Experienced Pilot applicants will be assessed on their knowledge of operational procedures, JerryAir standards, and aviation fundamentals.

Account creation & onboarding

Successful applicants are invited to create their official JerryAir pilot account and are activated at Second Officer rank, with a clear pathway to Captain.
